The weapon's concept art, seen in a video.

The Boom Ball Gun is a cut weapon in Ratchet & Clank, although it didn't make it to the game, the weapon's concept art was featured on the game's box art, albeit covered by Ratchet. Save for the aforementioned concept piece, there is nothing known about the weapon. Although judging by the name, it would most likely fire a large bomb that would explode on contact or after several seconds. For whatever reason, the Boom Ball Gun didn't seem to make it the game's development stage as it was not seen in any gameplay media prior to the game's release.

  • As with the Shrink-o-Ray and the Shrink Ray, the Boom Ball Gun's concept might have led to the Gravity Bomb or Bouncer, weapons that were not seen until the game's sequel.
  • The Boom Ball Gun was one of four weapons seen only on the game's cover, the other three being the Shrink-o-Ray, Revolverator and the Giganto-Ray.
  • The weapon's design bears a similar resemblance to the Tractor Beam gadget in Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando.
