The Mackerel 1000 was a cut melee weapon intended to be used in the original Ratchet & Clank. Basically the weapon would be a fish that took the place of Ratchet's Omniwrench 8000, possibly for a special bonus or possibly simple comedic effect. The weapon was later cut because Insomniac Games felt it didn't add anything to the game.
